Cirque of the Towers climbing trips 2024-2025

For the climber that wants to get experience taking their skills into the mountains there is no better place than the Cirque of the Towers deep in the heart of the Wind River Mountains. Climbing alpine rock often requires a broader skill set than climbing at the crag or even multi-pitch climbing by itself. Preparation, weight, commitment, efficiency, weather, and the like are all factors in getting a successful ascent. Wind Rivers Alpine Rock “Equivalent Experience”

Required Skills:

Substantial experience in the technique of “Lead Belaying” and rope management

Some Backcountry Experience (backpacking)

Familiar with essential climbing knots (figure-eight follow through)

Must be in good physical shape

Very comfortable with heights

Recommended skills:

Experience with altitude above 10,000 ft

Experience with placing or removing traditional climbing gear

Some anchor building experience

Some experience following multi-pitch climbs
