ROCK CLIMBING TRIP EQUIPMENT LIST
Folks are always concerned about what they need to bring for an OWA excursion. We make every effort to help you minimize the volume of gear needed, since we all know quality gear does not come cheap. OWA will supply all group gear, including ropes, stoves, coolers, food, snacks, etc… no need to bring your own. We also rent some of the following equipment if you don’t have it.
The following items can be rented from OWA or brought from home.

DUFFLE BAG bring 1-2 duffles large enough to hold all items not in your daypack
BASEBALL CAP for sun protection
SUNGLASSES
SUNSCREEN
HEADLAMP with extra batteries
WATER BOTTLES OR HYDRATION PACK 2-3 liters carrying capacity
TOOTHBRUSH & TOOTHPASTE
BIODEGRADABLE SOAP
LIP BALM
PERSONAL MEDICATION prescription meds should be labeled, you can bring OTC pain medication if you normally take it at home
EYEGLASSES and/or CONTACTS if applicable
INSECT REPELLENT

CLIMBING SHORTS
TRAVEL SHIRT AND PANTS to wear in the van and around camp, should be comfortable, jeans work!
HIKING SHOES or BOOTS approach shoes, trail runners, hiking boots all work well.
CAMP SHOES comfortable slip ons (Crocs) or flip flops
SWIMSUIT
5 UNDERWEAR/SPORTS BRA
WARM LAYERS long sleeve mid layer as well as thick fleece and/or down or synthetic “puffy” jacket.
7 SOCKS a combination of thicker (wool) and thin socks of different materials is useful
